Tickets for children 0-12 years old are free but only available in combination with an adult ticket, with a maximum of 5 children's tickets per individual adult ticket. Student, CJP, Uitpas, Stadspas, Amsterdam City Card, and STRAAT Membership cardholders must present valid identification or cards for discounted or free entry. Uitpas holders receive a 40% discount during off-peak hours (weekdays before 1:00 PM, not during school vacations).

For off-peak hours and a 40% discount with a valid Uitpas, visit the museum on weekdays before 1:00 PM. Note that this discount is not valid during school vacations. The museum is open until 9 PM every first Friday of the month.

Visit highlights

The STRAAT Museum is located in an industrial warehouse, which means temperatures inside can fluctuate; it may be chilly in winter and warm in summer, so visitors are advised to dress as if going for an outdoor walk. The café, shop, and gallery spaces are temperature controlled. Small backpacks, bags, and jackets can be stored free of charge in lockers. Photos and videos are allowed for private use only, without flash, tripods, or selfie sticks. Pets, except registered service dogs, and outside food/drinks are not permitted. Smoking and vaping are also prohibited inside the museum.

How to reach STRAAT Museum by public transport in Amsterdam
Transit options and station access

To reach the museum, take the free ferry to the NDSM wharf from the far left side at the back of Amsterdam Central Station (less than 15 minutes, departs every 15 minutes) or from Pontsteiger (7 minutes, departs every 20 minutes). Alternatively, from Amsterdam Central Station, take bus 391 towards Zaandam Zaanse Schans or bus 394 towards Zaandam Station and get off at Klaprozenweg. If using the Noord/Zuidlijn (metro 52), get off at Noorderpark metro station and take bus 35 towards Molenwijk or bus 36 towards Sloterdijk, getting off at bus stop Atatürk.
