The heritage organization behind some of the city's most iconic landmarks, including the medieval Belfort (Belfry of Bruges), has officially opened its brand-new scientific research facility, BRON. Situated in the historic heart of the city, this newly established centre is designed to be the intellectual engine for studying and preserving the region's vast art and heritage collections.
