Reunited historical paintings on display at the Groeningemuseum
For the first time in Belgium, the Groeningemuseum is hosting a special presentation featuring two historically significant paintings reunited after being separated for over a century. Originating from the same workshop, these works depicting the lives of Saint James and Saint John were previously displayed together in Tokyo. Visitors can explore this unique collaboration, which showcases the fruits of international art-historical research and recent restoration efforts, until 26 October 2026.
