Visitor Amenities at Magdalen College

Assistance dogs are allowed in the college grounds.

Dogs, except guide dogs, are not allowed in the College.

On-site venue offering refreshments, coffee, snacks, and light lunches.

Open Monday-Saturday from 10am to 5.30pm (closed on Sundays). Closed over Easter.

College publications, choir recordings, and merchandise are available.

Available to purchase from the Visitors’ Desk.

Guided tours are offered during the summer period.

Offered at 11am and 3pm on select summer days, subject to capacity. The £15 charge includes the admission fee.

You can download a map from the website. Leaflets with a map and illustrations are also provided at the Porter’s Lodge for 50p each.

Parking is not provided for general visitors.

We regret we are unable to provide parking.

Picnicking is not permitted on the grounds.

Please do not walk on the grass or picnic in the grounds.

General pets are not allowed inside the College.

Wedding/engagement photography and drones are restricted.

Drones may not be used anywhere in the College grounds. Wedding and engagement photography is not permitted, except when the ceremony is taking place in the College.

Tickets can be purchased on arrival.
