Designated accessible parking spaces are available.

Accessible / Blue Badge parking is available on site. For weekday events, visitors must book an accessible parking space in advance via email or phone.

Registered assistance dogs are welcome on site.

Only registered assistance dogs are permitted at the venue.

The building is fully accessible, while some outdoor trails are restricted.

The building is fully wheelchair accessible. Paths to the ponds and woodland amphitheatre are rocky but manageable. Trails deeper into the woodland are not suitable for wheelchairs. Note that the entrance driveway is steep in parts.

Some outdoor trails are suitable for strollers, while deeper woodland paths are not.

On-site cafe open on Saturdays.

The cafe is open from 10am to 4pm on Saturdays only, exclusively for families and groups visiting for Saturday Family Days and STEM Clubs.

Self-guided tools are provided to explore the outdoor areas.

Family Day and Club tickets include self-guided access to the woodland trails and Explorer Backpacks.

On-site bike parking is provided.

Plenty of cycle parking is available on-site for those wishing to cycle to the venue.

On-site parking is limited and mostly weekend-only.

Parking is available on-site at weekends on a first-come, first-served basis. Parking spaces are currently limited due to construction work. Weekday visits are restricted to drop-offs or accessible parking.

The centre is accessible via several nearby bus routes.

The nearest stop is serviced by the Stagecoach 10 bus. Other stops are within a 10-15 minute walk (Windmill Road, Old Road/Girdlestone Road) which service buses from various directions including Park & Rides.

Visitors are welcome to bring their own food and drink.

Indoor and outdoor lunch tables, as well as lawn areas, are available for picnics and snacks. Visitors are asked to tidy up and use the bins provided.

Pets and non-assistance dogs are not permitted.

No dogs (other than assistance dogs) or other pets are permitted on site at any time.

Photography and filming are allowed with restrictions.

Visitors are welcome to take photos and videos of children in their own care. Photography or filming of other children without parental permission is strictly prohibited.

All tickets must be booked in advance.

If you miss your timeslot, the venue cannot guarantee entry due to capacity limits. Tickets must be booked before arriving.

Indoor activity areas have scheduled entry slots.

Family Day tickets include a 2-hour slot in the Exploration Zone. Classroom sessions for Club visitors are 90 minutes. Woodland and outdoor areas can be visited before or after.
