Music fans visiting Salzburg can now experience the latest musical compilation from one of the city's premier live-music venues. The 28th edition of the Xtra Ordinary sampler has arrived at Rockhouse Salzburg, bringing together a diverse cross-section of local and regional talent in a uniquely packaged release.
What to Expect from the New Compilation
Released in early 2025, this year's collection moves past traditional formats to offer something distinct for collectors and music enthusiasts alike. Created in partnership with Zipfer and the Brauunion, the release takes the form of a limited bottle edition. Each package includes physical memorabilia such as a custom bottle opener and a beer mat, alongside a digital download code to access the tracks.
Musically, the compilation spans a wide range of genres, reflecting the venue's eclectic programming. Listeners will find sounds stretching from pop and indie rock to hip-hop and metalcore. The varied tracklist features contributions from artists including Ro Bergman, Please Madame, Moby Stick, Brother Buffalo, Coperniquo, Dame, David Era, Simon Paulus, Frame, The Fleur, Ulrich Ida Zeppelin, TiJA, What Lies Beyond, Somersby, Echo Blossom, and Schobes.
Production and Local Collaboration
The project has been handled hands-on by the venue's leadership, with Managing Director Wolfgang Descho overseeing project coordination and production. Audio mastering was managed by Wolfgang Schramml at Sonic Flow Studio, while the visual design and artwork were crafted by the Christian Salic agency. The initiative is realized with backing from the city of Salzburg and corporate partners.

While the standard digital and physical formats are accessible through the official Rockhouse website, the special limited bottle edition is distributed exclusively as an on-site item. Visitors can pick up the release directly at the Rockhouse Service Center or at the box office during events, subject to availability.
