Music fans exploring live culture in Salzburg can now experience the latest edition of a long-running regional compilation series. Rockhouse Salzburg has unveiled Xtra Ordinary Vol. 29, bringing together a wide cross-section of homegrown audio production in a distinctive, limited-edition format.
Exploring Salzburg's Diverse Music Scene
The latest release highlights forty distinct tracks from artists working across a broad spectrum of genres, including pop, indie, electronica, rock, and experimental compositions. Rather than serving as a uniform playlist, the compilation captures individual artistic directions currently emerging from the local creative community.
For this twenty-ninth volume, the institution opted for a functional physical presentation: a limited gym bag that includes a unique digital download code for accessing the complete tracklist. This continues an ongoing tradition of wrapping each annual collection in a novel, collectible package.
Behind the Production and Creative Collaboration
The project reflects a collaborative effort within the regional cultural sector. Production was overseen by managing director Wolfgang Descho, with audio mastering handled by Wolfgang Schramml at Sonic Flow Studio. The visual identity and artwork were designed by the Christian Salic agency, with project support provided by the City of Salzburg.
