Hundertwasser: An Immersive Journey into Digital Art and Architectural Vision

Discover the vibrant work of Austrian artist Friedensreich Hundertwasser, whose paintings and architectural designs are deeply rooted in respect for nature and humanity. This immersive exhibition at Fabrique des Lumières reinterprets his colorful, organic style using computer graphics and video animation, transforming the space into a dynamic fresco.

This exhibition delves into the creative universe of Friedensreich Hundertwasser (1928–2000), a prominent Viennese artist and architect who emerged decades after the Vienna Secession, carrying forward an artistic revolution initially sparked by figures like Klimt. Hundertwasser's distinctive approach abandoned traditional perspective, favoring expressive, irregular lines and a succession of vibrant layers, reflecting his belief that 'The straight line is a man-made danger' because it is alien to mankind and all creation. His work embodies a profound respect for nature and humanity, often depicting the source of life and natural elements in an endless spiral. At Fabrique des Lumières, Hundertwasser’s artistic principles are reimagined through advanced computer graphics and video animation techniques. The venue's monumental surfaces become a fragmented, dynamic fresco where his ideal city gradually materializes, animated by brightly colored paintings and utopian lines that move rhythmically with music. Visitors are invited to wander through this transformed space, becoming active participants within the artwork itself as they immerse themselves in this explosion of color and form.

Tickets for the exhibition can be booked online. Visitors are encouraged to immerse themselves fully, becoming part of the dynamic and colorful artwork within the transformed space.
