ALL-TOGETHER-NOW is an immersive installation by artist duo Children of the Light, inspired by the first image of a black hole. Five floating rings move in synchronicity, dissolving spatial boundaries and creating a ceremonial, physical experience for the viewer with light that shifts from amber to white.
ALL-TOGETHER-NOW, presented at the NXT Museum in 2025, is an immersive installation by the Amsterdam-based artist duo Children of the Light, comprising Christopher Gabriel and Arnout Hulskamp. Inspired by Katie Bouman's scientific breakthrough in visualizing a black hole, the artwork features five large, floating rings that move through a cycle before aligning in a moment of synchronicity. These elements create an illusion of dissolving spatial boundaries, reminiscent of dimensions between cosmic bodies. The movement and light within the installation are designed to be ceremonial, inviting viewers to orbit and interact with the artwork. The tone and temperature of the light shift over time, from amber to pure white, generating a spectrum of colors and a dreamlike atmosphere. Children of the Light, known for using light as their primary medium and drawing inspiration from the cosmos, have created an experience that fosters collectivity, transcendence, and introspection.
Information regarding tickets and admission can be found on the official NXT Museum website. Visitors are encouraged to check for specific booking details for ALL-TOGETHER-NOW to plan their visit accordingly. The exhibition is presented as part of the museum's programming for 2025.
