Groeningemuseum and Beyond: Updated Rates and New Access for the Musea Brugge Card
For travelers heading to Bruges to immerse themselves in history, art, and heritage, the city's integrated pass offers a streamlined way to explore multiple historic locations over a short stay. Those planning a trip to admire the renowned Flemish Primitive masterpieces at the Groeningemuseum can take advantage of the regional multi-site pass to structure their cultural itinerary.
A significant update to this museum pass introduces access to a brand-new cultural venue alongside an adjustment to the overall pricing structure.
New Art Space Included in the 72-Hour Pass
Beginning May 8, the card will expand its coverage to include admission to BRUSK, the city's newly constructed art gallery. This addition allows cardholders to transition seamlessly from the historical collections of classic Flemish works at locations like the Groeningemuseum to contemporary exhibitions.
Because of the addition of this new venue, the pricing structure for the 72-hour pass has been adjusted as follows:
- Standard Pass: €49
- Youth (under 26 years): €37
- Children and Teenagers (under 18 years): €25
The pass remains valid for a continuous 72-hour period. It only activates at the moment you enter your first chosen museum, meaning you can purchase it well in advance—up to one full year before your actual trip—without losing any visiting time.
How to Plan Your Museum Route in Bruges
To ensure a smooth experience when navigating the historic center, visitors should keep a few practical logistics in mind. While the pass grants general entry to the participating locations, it is highly recommended to reserve a specific entry time slot beforehand, particularly for high-traffic historical sites like the Belfry.
Reservations and passes can be managed directly on the official Musea Brugge Card page. Additionally, travelers should note that certain locations may occasionally close temporarily for exhibition transitions or maintenance, so checking individual venue schedules before setting out is always recommended.
