Bill Blast made a significant transition from street and subway art to galleries in the early 1980s, creating iconic works that inspired many European graffiti writers. His connection to the Netherlands began through exhibitions at esteemed venues like Amsterdam's Yaki Kornblit Gallery and Rotterdam's Museum Boijmans Van Beuningen, establishing him as an early international figure in the European art scene. In 1983, he also produced a street artwork in Amsterdam.
On Saturday, April 11, 2026, Bill Blast will participate in an interview at STRAAT Museum at 2:30 PM. Following this, at 3:30 PM, visitors will have a unique opportunity to have their blackbooks signed by the artist during a dedicated session.
STRAAT Museum and Dutch Graffiti Library Partnership
This exhibition marks the beginning of a three-year collaboration between STRAAT Museum and the Dutch Graffiti Library.
