Liesbeth van der Pol, who graduated cum laude from TU Delft, has had a significant career in architecture. She founded Atelier Zeinstra van der Pol in 1995, a firm known for diverse projects including housing, cultural, and industrial buildings. Later, she co-founded Dok Architecten and served as the Government Architect (Rijksbouwmeester) from 2008 to 2011, advising on architecture policy. Her roles have also included Supervisor for Architecture and Urban Development at Schiphol Airport and Coordinating Architect for the renovation of the Binnenhof complex. Beyond her practice, Van der Pol has been a guest lecturer at various universities and academies and has participated in numerous juries, also heading 'Man and Public Space' at Design Academy Eindhoven.
