This event, a 'Puzzelwedstrijd' (Puzzle Competition), invites participants to engage with the history of Gelderland through a large 1000-piece jigsaw puzzle. The puzzle, designed by striptekenaar (comic artist) Danker Jan Oreel, showcases scenes from the successful comic book 'Gelderland Het Verloren Hertogdom', depicting elements such as Romans, Vikings, soldiers from the Battle of Arnhem, churches, castles, and the Veluwe nature. The competition takes place on Sunday, May 3rd, and is part of the Gelderse feestdag, celebrating the anniversary of the Gelderland Parliament, which was established on May 3rd, 1418.
