The 'Shared Incantations: workshop' offers a unique one-day experience for queer individuals to explore their voices, connect with a supportive community, and engage in creative co-creation. Led by artists SasaHara and Alex Olloman, the workshop takes place within the framework of the ongoing [RE:FWD] exhibition. At its core is 'Wishing Well,' an interactive sound sculpture by Sasa Hara that transforms participants' voices through recording and processing, creating new forms and serving as an instrument of resistance and an altar. Throughout the five-hour session, guided by deep listening techniques inspired by queer composer Pauline Oliveros, participants will experiment with their voices as tools of liberation. The workshop encourages collective vocal meditation and improvisation, fostering a sense of belonging and shared expression. It aims to contribute to an evolving vocal archive that honors erased queer ancestries.
