Gargard's documentary investigates whether the significant Black Lives Matter demonstrations of June 2020 marked a turning point for societal change. To explore this question, she embarks on a journey through time and space, guided by an omniscient narrator. During this journey, across the Netherlands, Suriname, and Curaçao, she revisits the memories of everyday resistance fighters, hoping their experiences can offer insights into the future. The exhibition complements the documentary by combining this exclusive film material with items from The Black Archives' collection and personal archives of individuals such as Lulu Helder (Zwarte Piet is Zwart Verdriet), Andre Reeder (LOSON), and Jeanne Henriquez (Pal'i Maishi and Museo Tula).
