This year's festival particularly focused on the 100th anniversary of Vereniging Ons Suriname, with plans for a dedicated exhibition opening in the fall of 2019.
The festival delved into a range of themes including migration, hope, love, struggle, racism, and resistance, alongside entrepreneurship, art, and sports. Attendees engaged with inspiring thinkers, creators, and artists such as Winne, Frank Zichem, Samora Bergtop, Massih Hutak, Karin Amatmoekrim, Guno Jones, Pepijn Brandon, Wouter Pocornie, and Cody Hochstenbach.
