The exhibition features 42 winning projects and photographers selected from 59,320 submissions by 3,778 photographers worldwide. Visitors are invited to delve into stories spanning politics, gender, migration, conflicts, and the climate crisis, encouraging a deeper understanding beyond daily news cycles. This year's edition highlights the increasing international scope of the contest, with a notable number of winners also being from the countries where they photographed their projects. Two Dutch photographers, Marijn Fidder and Prins Vos, are among the selected artists.
As part of the exhibition's context and celebration of World Press Photo's 70th anniversary, the event 'The Stories That Matter' was held on May 17th, bringing together award-winning photographers, international speakers, and the public to explore pivotal global issues.
