The Museo Tiflológico de la ONCE hosted an exhibition from December 13, 2022, to January 14, 2023, displaying the winning and finalist pieces from its '30 Years of the ONCE Tiflológico Museum' Plastic Arts Contest. This competition was organized among artists affiliated with ONCE, resulting in 14 selected works spanning paintings, sculptures, photographs, and video.
The exhibition prominently featured the first and second prize winners: José Manuel Molina Castro's painting 'Remate final' and Pablo Miranda Osuna's sculpture 'Alzando el vuelo'. Molina Castro, affiliated with ONCE since 2014, employs an unusual technique using a car body spatula for his figurative and abstract paintings, describing 'Remate final' as a 'braille painting' accessible to those with low vision. Miranda Osuna, affiliated since 1985, presented 'Alzando el vuelo', a wooden sculpture designed to be touched, intended to inspire imagination. In addition to these winners, the exhibition included 12 other finalist works by artists such as Eulalia Conde Hernández, Mª Dolores Raya Antequera, Mª José Fernández Martínez, Filomeno Rubio Sánchez, María Luisa Alberca Yunqueras, J. Manuel Sabino Alonso Encina, Rubén González Sánchez, Manuel Cruzado Begines, F. Javier Perdomo Barrero, Marcelo Bilevich Paccaloni, Victoria Adame López, and Víctor Meliveo Nogues.
