This collective exhibition featured 11 blind artists demonstrating that blindness is not a barrier to artistic creation. Visitors could view and, in many cases, touch a variety of photographs, paintings, and sculptures.
The exhibition ‘ONCE formas de expresión’ (ONCE forms of expression) was a collective showcase where eleven blind artists presented their work, challenging the notion that visual impairment is an obstacle to artistic creation. The exhibition featured a range of mediums, including photographs, paintings, and sculptures, with an emphasis on tactile experiences, allowing visitors to engage with the artworks through touch. The show highlighted the unique creative processes and individual artistic visions of artists such as César Delgado, Andrés Clariana, José María Prieto Lago, Kelly Arrontes, Eduardo Matute ‘Dudu’, Marcelo Bilevich, Juan Torre, Gregorio Martínez Ruiz ‘Goyo’, Carme Ollé, Eulalia Conde, and Rafael Arias. Each artist brought their distinct perspective and chosen media, ranging from bronze sculptures and oil paintings to acrylics on canvas and digital photography, demonstrating a wide spectrum of artistic talent and innovative approaches to art-making.
