Overtone Cast Announced for World Premiere at The North Wall Arts Centre
The North Wall Arts Centre has revealed the starring cast for the upcoming world premiere of Overtone, a new play exploring long-term relationships, memory, and the enduring influence of the past.
Headlining Cast and Creative Team
Acclaimed Scottish performers Claire Dargo and Scott Fletcher, both widely known for their work on River City, will take the lead roles in the production. Dargo’s extensive stage and screen credits include productions with the National Theatre of Scotland and appearances in television series such as Shetland and Doctors. Fletcher brings extensive theatre and television experience to the stage, having previously appeared in productions for the Royal Lyceum Theatre and the National Theatre of Scotland, as well as the original Edinburgh Fringe run of Square Go.
The production is directed by John Hoggarth, whose previous credits include the award-winning Brown Boys Swim, alongside set and costume design by David Spence and lighting design by James Bailey.
Developing New Work
Overtone is written by Fringe First award-winning theatre-maker Tom Brennan and produced in collaboration with The North Wall. The project marks the venue's third world premiere at the festival by an alumnus of their ArtsLab artist development programme, following previous successes by Karim Khan and Marika Mckennell.
