York Theatre Royal Announces Four New Additions to the 2026 Programme
The historic York Theatre Royal has expanded its upcoming line-up, releasing tickets for four distinct productions heading to the venue in 2026. The new additions span culinary storytelling, family entertainment, biographical drama, and stand-up comedy, offering visitors a varied selection of live performances across the year.

The newly announced slate brings a mix of unique stage experiences to the Main House and wider venue spaces.
Among the highlights is a special appearance by Michelin-starred chef Tommy Banks, who brings his personal narrative to the stage for a single night on 17 July with Spinning Plates:LIVE!. Following this, family audiences can experience Dinosaur Adventure Live : Danger on T-Rex Mountain on 18 July, an interactive production designed to bring prehistoric creatures to life on the Main House stage.
Music and theatre intersect in September with Wilko: Love And Death And Rock ‘N’ Roll running from 10 to 12 September. This biographical play incorporates live music to trace the life of Dr Feelgood founder and rock icon Wilko Johnson. Later in the autumn, comedian Seann Walsh returns to the venue on 6 November with his latest observational hour, This Is Torture, as part of a wider UK tour.
