Star-Studded Casting Announced for York Theatre Royal's Festive Pantomime
The upcoming festive season in York is shaping up to be an unmissable theatrical event, as the historic York Theatre Royal reveals further high-profile additions to its traditional Christmas pantomime.
West End and Screen Stars Join the Cast
West End regular Jenny Gayner, whose extensive musical theatre credits feature major productions like Chicago and Gangsta Granny, has been cast as the Wicked Queen. She will be joined by screen and stage actor Dean Whatton, recognised for his work in Game of Thrones, who is set to lead the ensemble as Sarge. This milestone production marks Dean's 18th pantomime appearance.
The pair join a company that already includes Richard David-Caine alongside returning fan-favourites Tommy Carmichael and Robin Simpson. Written by Paul Hendy and directed by Juliet Forster, the production is a collaboration with Evolution Productions, the creative team behind previous seasonal hits at the venue.
