Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam Teams Up with Samsung to Bring Art Collection to Homes
The Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam has announced a new collaboration with Samsung, a leading technology company, making a selection of its renowned modern art collection accessible to a wider audience. This initiative, launched on April 29, 2026, allows art enthusiasts to experience significant works from the museum directly from their living rooms through Samsung smart TVs.
Experiencing Stedelijk's Masterpieces from Home
Through this partnership, owners of a Samsung Frame TV with an Art Store subscription can now explore 30 significant pieces from the Stedelijk's collection. The program, themed "TV off, art on," leverages high-quality display technology to present these artworks in detail. Viewers can appreciate masterpieces by artists such as Claude Monet, Paul Cézanne, Vincent van Gogh, Kazimir Malevich, Wassily Kandinsky, and Henri Matisse. The curated selection aims to immerse audiences in modern art with exceptional clarity.
Featuring Influential Artists from the Stedelijk Collection
The initial selection highlights influential figures from modern art. Alongside the aforementioned masters, the collection includes works by Fernand Léger, Robert Delaunay, Alexej von Jawlensky, James Ensor, Theo van Doesburg, Oskar Schlemmer, and Sophie Taeuber-Arp. Dutch artists such as Jan Toorop, Charley Toorop, George Hendrik Breitner, Isaac Israëls, Leo Gestel, Else Berg, Thérèse Schwartze, and Jacob Bendien are also represented, providing a rich overview of the museum's diverse holdings. Other international artists featured are Olga Rozanova, Aleksei Morgunov, and Jean Brusselmans.
Rein Wolfs, Director of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, expressed the museum's dedication to broadening access to modern art and design.
