This summer, Arcam invites visitors to explore Amsterdam's ever-changing architectural fabric through a series of guided Sunday walks. The 'Exploring Amsterdam’s Architecture: Sunday Summer Edition' program offers a unique opportunity to discover five dynamic neighborhoods that are shaping the city's future. Tours will cover areas ranging from historic islands to bold new developments along the IJ, providing fresh perspectives on Amsterdam's urban evolution.
Key neighborhoods featured include the NDSM to Silodam via the Ferry Tour, the waterfront area of Overhoeks & Distelweg, the transformation of Bajeskwartier from a prison complex to a family neighborhood, the innovation hub at Science Park, and the contrasting elements within the Westelijke Eilanden in the city center. Specific tours, such as the Ferry Tour and Westelijke Eilanden, will be offered in English at 3:00 PM, while other walks will be conducted in Dutch. The schedule runs every Sunday from June 8 to October 5, 2025, with walks lasting approximately 1.5 hours. Meeting points will be specified on individual event pages, and accessibility will be assessed for each walk.
