The 'Voelmaquette Arcamgebouw en Oosterdok' exhibition invites visitors to engage with the Arcam building and its environment through senses beyond sight. Developed in collaboration with Hannes Wallrafen, Laura Ubachs (Stichting Geluid in Zicht), Kaita Shinagawa (Studio KU+), and Robert Bosch (sound technician), this tactile and audio model is a new addition to Arcam's accessible gallery.
Inspired by the 'Architecture for Everyone' theme, the exhibition aims to provide a multisensory experience, incorporating urban audio fragments and narrative stories about Arcam, the Oosterdok, and the Marineterrein. It features an accompanying model of the surrounding area, highlighting key landmarks like Het Scheepvaartsmuseum, Marineterrein, Mediamatic, and NEMO Science Museum, making the architectural context accessible to a wider audience.
Admission and ticket notes
Admission to the Arcam building and all exhibitions, including the tactile model, is €5 for adults, €2.50 for students, and free for City Pass holders, children under 18, accompanying visitors with disabilities, and I Amsterdam City Card holders. The exhibition is permanently on display during Arcam's opening hours, Tuesday to Sunday, from 13:00 to 17:00 hours.
