Meredith Monk, a composer, singer, director, and choreographer, has pushed the boundaries of vocal music for over five decades with her unique approach to the voice. The exhibition offers an overview of her diverse oeuvre, featuring installations of famous music theatres like 'Quarry' (1976) and 'ATLAS' (1991), the pioneering video installation '16 Millimeter Earrings' (1966/1998), and the sound installation 'Silver Lake with Dolmen Music' (1981). It also includes an Amsterdam version of her interactive artwork 'American Archaeology' (1998), where the public supplements the work with new objects dipped in beeswax.
