This family workshop, held on March 22, 2026, at the Museo Sefardí, invites participants to discover the process of creating a comic strip. Attendees will observe details within the museum before designing characters, composing pages, and developing narratives, culminating in a personal comic to take home.
To celebrate Comic Day, the Museo Sefardí is offering a special "Crea, dibuja, cuenta: taller de cómic" (Create, Draw, Tell: Comic Workshop) on Sunday, March 22, 2026. This interactive workshop is designed for families with children aged 9 to 12, guiding them through the entire process of creating a comic strip from a simple idea. Participants will begin by closely observing elements within the museum, using these details as inspiration to develop their own narratives.
The workshop will cover the essential stages of comic creation, including character design, page composition with panels and dialogue, and visual storytelling techniques. Participants will explore various comic examples, learn fundamental drawing and narrative tricks, and engage in guided exercises to spark their imagination. By the end of the session, each attendee will have produced their own small comic strip inspired by the Museo Sefardí, ready to be taken home as a personal creation.
