This exhibition offers a unique look at the 'making of' the animated film 'Atrapa la Bandera' by Enrique Gato, exploring the history of space exploration. Visitors can discover the digital animation process and delve into the story of the space race and the moon landing.
The exhibition 'Atrapa la bandera,' developed in collaboration with Telefónica Studios, provides an in-depth look at the creation of the digital animation film of the same name, from its initial concept to its theatrical release. It showcases the objects and visual materials used by the filmmakers for research, offering insights into the history of space exploration, the Apollo program, and the lunar landing. The exhibition also highlights key aspects of the film, including its promotional trailer, interviews, and creative process.
'Atrapa la Bandera' is the second project from the creators of 'Las Aventuras de Tadeo Jones,' Spain's highest-grossing animated film. Directed by Enrique Gato, it is notable for being the first Spanish animated film to receive worldwide distribution. The exhibition functions as a 'making of' documentary, illustrating the five years of collective work that culminated in ninety-seven minutes of screen time. Curated by María Santoyo with collaboration from Fernando Muñoz, the exhibition is displayed on the 2nd floor of Espacio Fundación Telefónica.
