Revolución cuántica: An Exhibition on Quantum Mechanics and Computing at Espacio Fundación Telefónica

This exhibition delves into the fundamental principles of quantum mechanics and quantum computing, exploring their workings and challenges. It highlights the transformative potential of quantum computing to solve complex problems beyond the reach of classical computing.

Mid-20th century advancements in quantum mechanics sparked a technological revolution, giving rise to semiconductors, lasers, and modern electronics. Today, we stand on the brink of a new era with quantum computing, promising a magnitude of problem-solving capability far beyond classical computing's reach. The exhibition 'Revolución cuántica' (Quantum Revolution) investigates the essential principles of quantum mechanics and quantum computing, explaining their functionalities and the challenges they present. It invites reflection on their technological, cultural, and philosophical implications, posing questions about how they will reshape science, industry, communication, and our perception of reality. This journey brings us closer to a future where the seemingly impossible may become commonplace. The exhibition is presented by Espacio Fundación Telefónica and supported by FECYT, with images credited to the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (Mario Ejarque). It aims to demystify complex scientific concepts and provide a glimpse into a future shaped by quantum advancements.

The exhibition is open from 12:00 to 20:00. General admission information or specific ticket requirements are not detailed on this page, but visitors can add the event to their calendar using the provided Google Calendar link.
