It aims to challenge perceptions and propose alternative narratives for the future through technology-driven art.

Curatorial context

Espacio Fundación Telefónica presents 'Ventanas al futuro' (Windows to the Future), an exhibition that delves into speculative futures through six major audiovisual installations. The exhibition moves away from conventional science fiction tropes to present optimistic and inspiring visions of what lies ahead. Each installation acts as a 'window' into potential realities, encouraging a re-evaluation of how we conceive of the future and fostering a dialogue between our present and the decades to come. Technology plays a crucial role as an essential element in the artists' creative process and the production of these works. The possibility of generating images entirely through computer graphics (CGI) or Artificial Intelligence results in audiovisual creations with new narratives and visual registers. The exhibition is supported by the interdisciplinary studio Invisible, which specializes in prospective research and future design, assisting artists in conceptualization and theoretical frameworks. This exhibition is part of a narrative trilogy on the future, following 'La gran imaginación. Historias del futuro' and 'Liam Young. Construir mundos', both focused on projecting fictional scenarios and alternative worlds through technology.
