The Virtual Reality Space at Espacio Fundación Telefónica Madrid is a dynamic and interactive exhibition dedicated to the forefront of virtual reality technology. Following the success of previous VR events and recognizing VR's emerging prominence, this space aims to be a hub for experiencing the latest advancements in both devices and content. Visitors can explore VR's impact on health, education, journalism, and history, with content updated periodically through collaboration with The App Date. The exhibition offers both historical context and hands-on experience. It traces the history of virtual reality with visual and interactive displays, explaining the technical revolution and the process of recording 360º content, accompanied by an extensive overview of existing devices and their applications across different disciplines and professional sectors. Visitors can then engage with VR through various activities and devices, including a booth simulating immersion with a smartphone and Samsung Gear VR with Glove One gloves for tactile interaction, as well as platforms like Wizdish for virtual navigation. The experience concludes with a 360º selfie, allowing visitors to share their journey and demonstrate the accessibility of VR content creation, using the hashtag #EspacioVR.
