This workshop focuses on exploring immediate surroundings to collect sensory signals like sounds and colors, which are then transformed into graphical matter. Participants are encouraged to find new ways to occupy nearby spaces and turn the everyday into a source of artistic experimentation.
As part of the '4 artists / 4 workshops III' series, this workshop, led by Virginia Rivas, invites participants to engage with their immediate environments. Through brief excursions, attendees will gather sounds, color palettes, and other sensory data from the everyday landscape. These collected elements will then be processed and transmuted into graphical matter. The workshop encourages a novel approach to occupying nearby spaces, fostering an expanded sense of listening and vision that can convert the mundane into a rich foundation for artistic experimentation. The schedule spans two days, beginning on Friday, February 6, 2026, and concluding on Saturday, February 7, 2026, with specific timings provided.
