The 'Sueños de India' exhibition offers a journey into a distant yet familiar culture, aiming to show that despite differences in religion, language, or origin, people are fundamentally alike. It features photographs and texts from a three-year sociological research project documenting the lives of Indian families.
The exhibition "Sueños de India" (Dreams of India) invites visitors on a journey to understand a distant yet profoundly familiar culture. Through a display of photographs and accompanying texts, the exhibition stems from a three-year sociological research project titled "100 Indian families tell us their story." This initiative allowed Worldbrand Society to intimately portray, interview, and live alongside various communities across India. The core objective of this research and the subsequent exhibition is to utilize the universal concept of family as a lens to demonstrate our shared humanity. Whether observing a Hindu saint in Varanasi, a Bengali fakir, a farmer from Kerala, a university student from Kolkata, a Muslim from Kashmir, or a Christian from Tamil Nadu, the exhibition highlights the presence of a father, a grandparent, a mother, or a sibling, ultimately revealing that these individuals share the same fundamental roles and familial bonds as people everywhere.
