Curatorial context

TANTOS MUNDOS EN ESTE is an exhibition by Marina Núñez, a prominent contemporary artist whose work delves into the critical relationship between humanity and the environment. The exhibition serves as a sensory and emotional immersion into her latest creations, focusing on the decisive influence humans exert on the sustainability and future of ecosystems within a globalized and deeply anthropized planet. This project, co-organized with La Térmica Cultural, highlights Núñez's recent acquisition by the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge, anticipating the upcoming Climate Biennial. The exhibition's centerpiece is the artwork of the same name, a floor installation composed of nearly 300 large tiles, creating a rich visual "map" of Earth that is both wounded and vibrant, utilizing advanced 3D simulation software and artificial intelligence. Surrounding this central piece are other recent works by Núñez across various formats, including video, laser-cut crystal, digital prints, and ceramic pieces, all exploring the possibilities of embedding her imagery onto the very "earth" from which they are made, inviting viewers to reconsider our planet and imagine a more balanced future.
