Prairie Tank Engine 5199 Visit to Didcot Railway Centre
Visitors and railway enthusiasts planning a trip to the Didcot Railway Centre can look forward to a rare gathering of historic locomotives. The living museum has announced that Prairie tank engine number 5199 will visit from the 5199 Project, creating a special line-up for visitors exploring the site near Oxford.
What to Expect From the Locomotive Line-Up
During the visit, the visiting 5199 engine will operate alongside the heritage centre's resident 4144 locomotive. Meanwhile, engine 6106 will be positioned on static display, offering enthusiasts a unique opportunity to view representatives of the 41, 51, and 61 class Prairies together in one place.
The visiting 51 engine is scheduled to be in steam on specific dates throughout the month, including February 10, 11, 14, 17, and 18, 2024.
