On August 2nd, a ceremony was held to mark the 154th anniversary of the execution of Romuald Traugutt and the members of the National Government, the supreme authority during the 1863 Polish uprising. The event took place on the courtyard of the Museum X Pavilion of the Warsaw Citadel. A letter from the Prime Minister of Poland, Mateusz Morawiecki, was read by Member of Parliament Andrzej Melak. Flowers were laid at the busts forming an outdoor sculpture gallery by various dignitaries and representatives from institutions including the Prime Minister's office, the President of Warsaw, the Żoliborz District Office, the Kościuszko Foundation, the Institute of National Remembrance, the Polish History Museum, the Museum of Polish Independence in Warsaw, the Museum of Sport and Tourism, the Museum of Warsaw, and the Polish Army Museum.
