On December 3rd, the Museum of Sport and Tourism in Warsaw participated in the International Day of Persons with Disabilities and their Caregivers. This observance, established by the United Nations in 1992, was marked by an inclusive Boccia tournament held at the museum. The competition featured three top national players who use wheelchairs: Łukasz Broszek, Konrad Lipowski, and Patryk Szuba. The tournament was inaugurated by the Museum Director, Tomasz Jagodziński, who played an exhibition match with Konrad Lipowski, a winner of the Polish Cup for persons with disabilities. Prizes were sponsored by Marek Książek, president of the 'Razem dla Niepełnosprawnych' (Together for the Disabled) Association. In addition to the sports event, the museum's cinema hall screened documentary films focusing on Paralympic sports. An additional attraction was a meeting with athletes involved in amputee football. Persons with disabilities were offered free guided tours of the permanent exhibition, with nearly 300 individuals attending the event. The initiative received honorary patronage from Adam Struzik, Marshal of the Mazowieckie Voivodeship, and media patronage from Polskie Radio and Telewizja Polska.
