This entry documents the Museum of Sport and Tourism's participation in the third annual Olsztyn Green Festival, a music and healthy lifestyle event. The museum hosted an educational program focused on the Olympic Games, engaging children with activities like painting Olympic mascots and flags, and playing historical sports games.
The Museum of Sport and Tourism in Warsaw took part in the third edition of the Olsztyn Green Festival, held on August 13-14, 2016. This festival, organized by Agora SA, celebrated music and a "green" healthy lifestyle, taking place on the beach of Lake Ukiel in Olsztyn. The event featured a rich program of activities and meetings for both children and adults, with a focus on nature and ecology. Within the festival's numerous tents offering eco-workshops, contests, quizzes, and board games, the museum set up a dedicated space. This station provided an educational program centered around the Olympic Games. Children were actively involved in painting Vinicius, the mascot of the Rio Olympic Games, and the Olympic flag. They also engaged with domino games detailing the history of sport and the Olympics, and played memory games. For their participation and efforts, children received various colorful prizes generously funded by the Museum and the Polish Olympic Committee.
