The performance is based on the historical short story "Barani Kożuszek" by Józef Ignacy Kraszewski, first published in 1881, and draws from accounts of the puppeteer's life and his unique theatre, which was even immortalized in the drawings of Jan Piotr Norblin. The performance features Marcin Bartnikowski and Marcin Bikowski, who are also credited with the set design and text, alongside Marcin Bartnikowski serving as the artistic director of Teatr Malabar Hotel.
