The 'Colorful World of Wild Pollinators' is a nature workshop designed for individuals aged 15 and older, focusing on the hundreds of diverse wild bee species found in Poland. While honeybees are widely known, Poland hosts over 470 different species of wild bees. Participants will delve into their 'magical world,' discovering intriguing behaviors such as nesting in empty snail shells, their method of cutting leaves, and the purpose of their abdominal pollen brushes. The workshop will also cover how bees collect pollen and their essential relationship with flowers, all set within the context of the Łazienki Królewskie's vibrant gardens. The workshop is led by Katarzyna Rosiak-Stepa, an enthusiast of wild bees and the founder of dzicyzapylacze.pl, who aims to create a comprehensive knowledge base about Polish wild pollinators. She focuses on their nesting methods and habitat protection. She is joined by Joanna Roczyńska, a fellow admirer of wild bees, particularly bumblebees, who has extensive experience observing them and the flowers they visit. Roczyńska is a co-creator of the 'Dzikie Pszczoły' channel and manages the section on bee-friendly plants on dzicyzapylacze.pl.
