The Royal Łazienki Museum is hosting European Archaeology Days, an initiative dedicated to popularizing archaeological heritage. This event offers participants a chance to delve into the rich history of the royal residence through a variety of activities. The program features an outdoor exhibition titled "Underground Mysteries of Łazienki Park," running from June 12-15, 2026, in the palace gardens. This exhibition will highlight significant archaeological discoveries from recent years through informative boards with photographs placed around key locations.
Complementing the exhibition are interactive workshops designed for different age groups. "The Little Rooster Who Whistled from Under the Ground" is a creative workshop for children aged 6 and older, taking place on June 13, 2026, which combines storytelling, sound, and pottery to create small rooster figures. For adults and youth aged 16 and above, the "Under Łazienki Grass: Archaeology Without a Shovel" workshop on June 14, 2026, will introduce non-invasive archaeological research methods. This session will cover the principles of such techniques, the analysis of relevant historical sources for the Łazienki Park area, and provide practical experience in conducting non-invasive surveys.
