This workshop, titled 'Kariatyda - ciało i emocje' (Caryatid - body and emotion), invites participants aged 16 and above to engage in a hands-on sculpting experience. Inspired by Auguste Rodin's renowned sculptor 'Kariatyda z kamieniem', attendees will work with clay to model a human figure. The workshop delves into how body posture and form can convey a wide spectrum of emotions, specifically exploring the depiction of a caryatid not just as a strong pillar, but as a figure burdened and overwhelmed by its load. Participants will construct a wire armature on a wooden base before applying clay to create their models. The session is led by Karina Madej, an art educator with a background in philosophy and visual arts.
