Exhibition summary

This is a series of storytelling, ceramic, and painting workshops for children aged 6-10 and their guardians. The workshops, held over three dates in February 2026, combine narrative with artistic creation, focusing on sculpting and painting ceramic tiles based on imagined stories.

Curatorial context

The "Pasterczyk i kafle" (Shepherd boy and tiles) workshops offer a creative journey for children aged 6-10 and their guardians, blending narrative with hands-on art creation. The program is divided into three sessions: the first focuses on storytelling and imagining narratives, inspired by tales like that of a shepherd boy named Stefan searching for a lost sheep in the park. The second session shifts to ceramic work, where participants will sculpt clay tiles that will later serve as canvases for their stories. During this stage, they will learn about working with clay and preparing surfaces for painting. These fired tiles will be distributed at the final workshop. The third session, "Niebieskie kafle opowieści" (Blue story tiles), will involve painting the fired tiles with underglaze colors in various shades of blue, illustrating the stories developed earlier. The workshops are linked to the temporary exhibition "Łazienki w zachwycie" (Łazienki in admiration).

Admission and ticket notes

Tickets cost 50 PLN per child and 50 PLN per guardian for the cycle of three workshops. Carnival tickets for the workshops have been sold out. Finished tiles can be collected from February 7 to March 31, 2026, during the opening hours of Stara Kordegarda.
