The 'Poczuj kształty' (Feel the Shapes) workshop offers families with visually impaired children aged 6-10 a unique opportunity to engage with art through the sense of touch. Taking place on April 15, 2023, at the Old Kordegarda, the session is part of the 'Closer to Art' program and is free of charge. Participants will work with ceramic materials of varying plasticity and grain, learning to feel differences between textures like grogged clay and smooth porcelain, and practicing impression techniques. The workshop aims to enhance manual dexterity, improve fine motor skills, stimulate sensitivity, and foster patience and perseverance. The inspiration for the tactile exploration comes from the pointed shapes of satyr horns and the rounded forms of ceramic vases.
