Participate in the 'Portrait of a Royal Bird' Cross-Stitch Embroidery Workshop at Royal Łazienki Museum

This is a multi-session, cross-stitch embroidery workshop for adults and youth (14+) titled 'Portrait of a Royal Bird'. Participants will collectively create a vibrant image of a peacock, a recurring motif in the Łazienki gardens, using traditional needlecraft techniques over several weekly meetings.

The Royal Łazienki Museum invites enthusiasts of handicrafts to "Portrait of a Royal Bird," a series of intergenerational, integrative, and artistic cross-stitch embroidery workshops for adults and youth aged 14 and over. Taking place weekly throughout November 2025 in the New Palm House, these sessions offer a unique opportunity to capture the beauty of the peacock, an iconic resident of the Łazienki gardens, through needle and thread. Under the guidance of experienced textile artist Dorota Wrońska, participants will learn traditional techniques, with each individual creating a fragment of a larger artwork. These embroidered pieces will later be combined to form a single, collaborative artwork, celebrating shared creativity and the enduring charm of the royal bird. Dorota Wrońska, a textile artist, weaver, embroiderer, and craftswoman, leads this workshop. Her passion lies in unique artistic textiles, and she specializes in teaching how traditional crafts can be used for personal development and creating beauty. Wrońska has extensive experience conducting workshops for various institutions, including the Royal Łazienki Museum, and has participated in numerous events and festivals, sharing her expertise in textile arts.
