This art workshop for children aged 7-12 and their guardians explores the expressive potential of black and white ink. Inspired by Domicella Bożekowska's animalistic works, participants will experiment with various ink techniques to capture movement and form.
The 'Tropem plam, śladem linii' workshop invites children aged 7-12 and their guardians to discover the expressive capabilities of black and white ink. This technique, less common than traditional paints, offers a unique avenue for artistic expression, full of surprises. Participants will draw inspiration from the animalistic creations of Domicella Bożekowska, whose diverse artistic methods are celebrated.
The workshop encourages participants to capture the movement, posture, and energy of animals, whether from imagination or through inspiration from Božekowska's sculptures and drawings. Using black and white ink on different colored papers, attendees will explore various approaches to this medium. They will learn to create subtle drawing effects as well as bolder, painterly applications, experimenting with how ink behaves on dry and wet surfaces, and how dilution affects its appearance. The goal is to combine precise brushwork with fluid forms, resulting in impressionistic works that play with light, shadow, and motion, where animal figures emerge from ink splatters and lines.
