Curatorial context

The 'Z gliny dla rośliny' workshop is an immersive artistic ceramics experience for adults, focused on the process of creating and decorating functional art pieces. Participants will first visit the temporary exhibition 'Life of a Royal Garden' to gather inspiration before heading to the workshop space. Here, they will learn about clay sourcing, the stages of ceramic creation, and the application of glazes. The workshop involves crafting small, uniquely decorated pots for succulents using techniques such as incising, imprinting, and appliqué. These handmade creations will undergo firing in a ceramic kiln, with the finished pieces available for collection at a later date. The second session of the workshop delves deeper into the use of glazes, guiding participants through the application of color to their ceramic works. The firing process for both sessions will occur after the scheduled class times. The workshop is led by interdisciplinary artist Małgorzata Myszka, whose work spans painting, drawing, digital graphics, and ceramics, and who has also created art-driven lifestyle objects. This workshop is part of the programming for the temporary exhibition 'Life of a Royal Garden'.
