NikkieTutorials Joins Madame Tussauds Amsterdam with New Interactive Exhibit
Beauty and social media sensation Nikkie de Jager, known globally as NikkieTutorials, now has her own lifelike wax figure at Madame Tussauds Amsterdam. The highly anticipated unveiling took place on October 19, 2021, introducing an immersive experience for visitors.
Guests can step into an interactive 'fashion backstage' setting designed around Nikkie's world. This unique area allows visitors to encounter the beauty guru's figure, capture memorable photos within a special 'NIKKIETUTORIALS magazine' frame, and even experiment with digital make-up looks. The creation of the figure involved Nikkie herself, who posed for the artists in early 2020, offering input on the pose, facial expression, and even selecting the outfit her wax counterpart would wear.
Upon seeing her wax figure for the first time, Nikkie de Jager expressed her excitement and surprise, exclaiming, "Oh my God that’s me! I am afraid of her!" Footage of this unique encounter was shared on her official NikkieTutorials YouTube channel.
Quinten Luykx, General Manager of Madame Tussauds Amsterdam, shared the enthusiasm for this collaboration. He noted that the museum sought a prominent Dutch and international personality for their renovated Fashion set. "Due to the large number of requests from our visitors for a figure of Nikkie and her many talents, we were quickly convinced she was the most suitable person," Luykx stated. The intricate work of crafting the figure was completed at the Studios in London.
Nikkie de Jager has established herself as an undeniable force in the beauty industry, captivating over 15 million followers worldwide with her make-up tutorials and vibrant online presence. Beyond her digital platforms, she is also recognized for television appearances, including winning 'Wie is de Mol?' and hosting 'Make Up Cup.' Her role as a presenter at the Eurovision Song Contest and her work as a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations in the Netherlands further highlight her diverse impact, making her a compelling figure for visitors to the Amsterdam attraction.
