The Museo ABC hosts an exhibition commemorating the fifth anniversary of the National Drawing Prize DKV-MAKMA, an initiative by DKV Seguros and MAKMA (a magazine for visual arts and contemporary culture). Running from October 2 to November 24, 2019, the exhibition aims to bridge contemporary drawing with the general public, utilizing the power of narrative, storytelling, and contemporary illustration. This award is part of the DKV ARTERIA art program, which champions artistic creation as a means of communication and personal development, underscoring the significance of graphic language in contemporary art.
DKV's commitment to supporting emerging artists is a core aspect of this initiative, offering scholarships and awards to foster their training, production of work, and access to exhibition and commercial circuits. The exhibition proudly displays the winning works from the five editions of the prize, featuring artists Estefanía Martín Sáenz, Cristina Ramírez, Marta Beltrán, Manu Blázquez, and Consuegra Romero.
