Embark on a journey through the night sky with 'Rejs po niebie' (A Journey Through the Sky), a live-hosted planetarium show exploring constellations and their associated myths. Discover celestial stories from ancient civilizations like Mesopotamia, Greece, Australia, and the Maya, and learn about the celestial objects visible from different hemispheres.
"Rejs po niebie" (A Journey Through the Sky) is a planetarium show dedicated entirely to constellations, offering a unique exploration of the night sky. Visitors are invited to discover the connections between the zodiacal constellations and ancient calendars, understand the number of constellations visible, and learn the stories they tell. The show takes audiences on a journey through the ancient worlds of Mesopotamia, Greece, Australia, and the Maya, as well as to the southern hemisphere.
While not everyone can travel to the southern hemisphere or through time, this show makes both possible. Witness what the Maya saw in the sky, understand how the Incas explained the Milky Way, and learn about the thirteenth zodiac constellation. The show also highlights which Polish king was immortalized in the stars and guides viewers to find the Southern Cross, a beacon for sailors. By traveling to the southern hemisphere virtually, audiences can also spot the mythological Centaur among the stars. The program is conducted live and is partially improvised, with audio translations provided via headphones, focusing on descriptions of the observed objects and phenomena.
